Zahari Starr
Zahari Starr, born on August 28, 2013, is a fifth-grade student at Minnie Ruffin Elementary School.
He is the son of Kyesha Starr and Kendrick Mathis, Sr. Zahari is an active member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, where Rev. A.B. Johnson serves as pastor.
In his free time, Zahari enjoys playing strategy games, which showcase his analytical mind and love for problem-solving.
On December 9, 2024, Zahari joined "The Black Tie Guys," an organization dedicated to fostering leadership, knowledge, and personal growth in young men. Zahari is enthusiastic about participating in its programs and projects, seeing it as an opportunity to discover and refine his talents while expanding his thirst for learning.
As a Black Tie Guy, Zahari aspires to create a well-rounded life plan, travel across the United States, build a network of meaningful connections, learn valuable new skills, and maintain his status as an honor student. Zahari is excited about the future and looks forward to graduating with the Class of 2032 from Wossman High School.
